About CrewSeek

We help yacht captains and crew connect with boat owners

CrewSeek was founded to help captains and crew find work aboard boats and for boat owners to find captains and crew to operate their vessels. CrewSeek was started by a USCG-licensed captain who worked aboard boats and ran yacht deliveries for many years and felt this type of service was needed to help captains and crew connect.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of boats ply the waters of the world’s oceans. Whether racing, cruising, or seeking warmer climates, CrewSeek aims to help boat owners find crew to help sail, stand watch, cook or maintain the ships’ systems. CrewSeek also helps captains and crew find these positions.

CrewSeek is not a crew agency; we do not attempt to “match” boats and crew. Instead, we provide a quick and easy way for boat owners or crew to post profiles about their needs or experience, to search through profiles posted by other members, and to contact another member about a position aboard a boat.

How it works

If you are a boat owner looking for crew or crew looking for a boat, then you have come to the right place.

You can create a user profile for free on CrewSeek, either as a captain/crew member or as a boat owner/yacht manager. In CrewSeek, you can enter your location, preferences, needs, and/or experience. Once you complete and save your profile, you are ready to go! You can now contact other members and other members can view your profile and contact you.

After filling out and saving your profile, it appears at the top of the CrewSeek website in the appropriate list either as a boat owner or as a crew member. As other users add their profiles, yours will start to “sink.” To make sure your profile is viewed often by other members, we allow you to “float” your profile back to the top of the list, which you do by logging in to your account and saving your profile. Users can float their profiles once a day. Plus, new members are added daily, so come back often to see who or what is new.
